The Theme

In the latest update (5.22.01), a significant addition is the ability to limit form submissions in Gravity Forms to prevent spam, setting a cap of 5 submissions per hour per IP address. The preceding update (5.22.00) streamlined operations by discontinuing the repetitive logging of image mime type arrays.

Between versions 5.21.97 and 5.21.92, there were enhancements focused on the block archive and post cards, including a new tagging option and footer customization features. This was followed by a series of updates (5.21.91 to 5.21.88) that addressed various user interface issues such as desktop popups, onboarder block markup, and embed aspect ratios.

The subsequent versions, from 5.21.87 to 5.21.82, introduced fixes and updates for login inputs, link size inheritance, Safari-specific lightbox issues, and WooCommerce compatibility, particularly with the new bookings plugin. Additionally, 5.21.79 and 5.21.78 brought in a new lightbox for image galleries and introduced IP rate limiting for Gravity Forms.

The updates in the range of 5.21.75 to 5.21.68 were mainly focused on style and CSS adjustments, including deferring styles, changing input CSS ordering, and updating logo URL retrieval methods. Moreover, these updates also included fixes for the 404 template loader and the removal of some outdated actions.

In the last set of updates, ranging from 5.21.67 to 5.21.42, there were various improvements and fixes. These included user interface enhancements like menu centering, WooCommerce updates for compatibility and permissions, and user editing capabilities. Additionally, there were updates related to socials, checkboxes for Stripe and terms & conditions, and range control and coupon fixes. The period also saw a revert to stock WooCommerce checkout tables, updates in WooCommerce versions, and improvements in lightbox and product grid styling.

The Blocks

The most recent update (4.7.47) introduced a new feature allowing the addition of links to structured list cards. Prior to this, version 4.7.46 focused on fixing background issues in slider JavaScript.

Significant enhancements were made in 4.7.45, with the introduction of a new Tabs block, providing a tool to hide content effectively, and a major overhaul of the Jump Nav block. This overhaul included style variations, orientation changes, and the ability to place it inside a column block.

In 4.7.43, new button options were added to the grid card, including tabs and a minimalistic style. Following this, version 4.7.40 introduced an option to skip lazy loading in the background block. Version 4.7.39 optimized resource loading by enqueuing Flickity only when needed.

A series of fixes were implemented in versions 4.7.37 to 4.7.34, addressing padding in button grid cards, ensuring the preservation of inner blocks, and resolving issues with links in grid cards that cover the entire card and migration JavaScript errors.

From 4.7.33 to 4.7.23, there was a consistent focus on updating various features to a new API. These updates affected Link In Bio, Landing Page, CTA, Counter, Comparison Table, Quote block, Price List block, Timeline, Vignette, Structured List, Photo Feature, and Yearbook blocks.

Additionally, versions 4.7.26 and 4.7.25 were dedicated to hotfixes for the Yearbook block. Version 4.7.22 saw the Grid being updated to use the new API, and in 4.7.21, a fix was implemented to address the issue of page blocks being too small at large sizes.

A notable feature update in 4.7.20 was the modification of the Slider to function without requiring jQuery. This was followed by a hotfix for logos flex in 4.7.19. Finally, version 4.7.18 brought an update to the Logos block to align with WordPress 6.3.

UPDATE: You can now set the maximum amount of form submissions allowed in an hour for Gravity Forms. This is useful for preventing spam. The default is 5, and is calculated by user IP address globally across the site. This means that if a user submits 5 forms in an hour, they will be blocked from submitting any more forms for an hour. This is a global setting, and cannot be set on a per-form basis.
