Packages

Overview

Packages are the specials the Packages block lists. Each one has a page built in the block editor, plus a Promo Code, an Expiration Date, an Image, and an Excerpt in the sidebar's Package panel. Create them under Packages → Add New Package.

Fields

• Title — the package name, shown on cards and as the page heading
• Editor — the package page. New packages start with a headline and two paragraphs on a gradient background; replace the text
• Promo Code — sent to the reservation system when a guest clicks Check Availability on this package's page
• Expiration Date — the day the package ends. From that day the page reads "This package has expired", the promo code is no longer sent, and the package leaves the Packages block's listings
• Image — the card image in listings. Package pages do not show it themselves; put an image in the editor if the page needs one
• Excerpt — the short text on cards
• Categories — for the Packages block's By Category selection

Editor basics

• Editor: block editor, with revisions
• Package pages: always on, at /package/package-name/
• Under the content: every page adds the Reserve Now form, your Form PostScript, and the other-packages grid. They are not blocks and cannot be moved or removed

Tips

• A package with no Expiration Date never expires.
• Expiry happens at the start of the date in your site's time zone (Settings → General). Set it to the day after the last bookable night.
