Connect the reservation form

  1. In the WordPress admin, go to Packages → Settings
  2. Enter your Windsurfer Property ID
  3. Optionally write a Form PostScript: a line that appears under the form on every package page (HTML is allowed, for a phone number or a link)
  4. Select Save Settings

Without a Property ID the form still appears, but the reservation system cannot tell which property the guest is booking.

Add a package

  1. Go to Packages → Add New Package
  2. Set the title and write the page. New packages start with a headline and two paragraphs on a soft gradient; replace the text and add anything else
  3. In the sidebar's Package panel, enter the Promo Code the reservation system should apply, and pick the Expiration Date
  4. Add an Image and an Excerpt. Both are what the package looks like in listings
  5. Assign Categories if you will list packages by category
  6. Publish

What a package page shows

Under your content, every package page adds:

  • Reserve Now with the expiration date, and a form for adults, children, check-in and check-out. Check Availability opens your Windsurfer reservation system in a new tab with the dates, guests and this package's promo code filled in
  • Your Form PostScript, if you wrote one
  • Explore other packages. (the Other Packages Headline setting): a grid of your other current packages

Once the Expiration Date arrives, the page reads "This package has expired. But you can still make a reservation." and the form stays, without the promo code.

List packages on a page

  1. Edit a page and insert the Packages block
  2. Choose a Package Selection: All current packages, packages By Category, or Handpicked ones in your own order
  3. Choose a Card Layout: Small (three per row) or Large (two per row, image beside the text)

Each card shows the package Image, title, and Excerpt, with a Book Now link to the package page.

For a booking form on any other page, insert the Reservation Form block.

Tips

  • A package expires at the start of its Expiration Date in your site's time zone (Settings → General). Set the date to the day after the last night guests can book.
  • Every selection of the Packages block leaves out expired packages and drafts, so lists empty themselves as packages end.
  • Pages are cached, so an expiry can take until the page's cache refreshes to show. Purge the cache in your host's dashboard if it must change right away.
