Menu Editing
If you’re looking to change the navigation on your site, you’re in the right place!
Certainly! Here are the steps to update the menu on your Dirigible site:
- Access the backend of your website and navigate to “Appearance” -> “Menus”.
- In the “Menu Name” field, enter a name for your menu. If you have multiple menus, you can select the desired menu from the drop-down menu.
- Assign the menu to the desired location where it should appear on your site. For example, you can choose to display it in the header navigation or footer navigation.
- To add a link to a page in your menu, select the “Pages” tab. You can also add links to posts or other types of content, depending on the plugins you have active on your site.
- Check the box next to the page you want to add and click the “Add to Menu” button.
- The added page will appear as a new menu item. You can drag and drop it to rearrange its position within the menu.
- To remove a menu item, click on the arrow icon next to the menu item to expand its options. Then, click the “Remove” link.
- To rename a menu item, click on the arrow icon next to the menu item, update the “Navigation Label” field with the desired name, and click the “Save Menu” button.
- To create a submenu (a child item) within your menu, drag a menu item below and slightly to the right of another menu item. This will make it a child item of the one above it.
- Once you have made the desired changes to your menu, click the “Save Menu” button to apply the updates.
- Refresh your website’s page to see the changes reflected in the menu.
By following these steps, you can add, remove, rename, and create submenus within your menu on your Dirigible site.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
