Freeform Footer

Overview

Freeform Footer has two site-wide controls: Enable and Footer. Leave Enable off to keep the theme footer from Footer & Contact.

Where to find these settings

Go to Footer → Settings, in the WordPress admin.

These settings used to be under Appearance → Customize → Dirigible Plugins → Freeform Footer. They moved with the same values, so there's nothing to set again, and old links to the Customizer open the new page. On a site whose Dirigible theme hasn't updated yet, they're still in the Customizer.

Settings

• Enable — replaces the theme footer with the selected Footer. Off by default. The Customizer still shows Footer & Contact, but its layout settings no longer apply while this is on.
• Footer — which published Footer to show. Until you publish one, the page links to Add Footer instead. If none is selected, or the selected footer was deleted, the theme footer stays even when Enable is on.

Tips

• Publish a Footer first, then pick it here, turn Enable on and select Save Settings.
• Pages the site has already cached can take a little while to show the change.
• The Dirigible Attribution line still prints below the footer. That control is under Appearance → Customize → Settings → General.
• Landing page templates and Link in Bio pages skip the site footer entirely.
