Getting started

Enter the weekly hours

In the WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Customize
Open Dirigible Open Hours → Hours
For each open day, fill Open and Close in military time (9:00, 17:30, 20:30)
Leave both fields blank on a closed day
Publish the Customizer changes

A day only counts as open when both times are filled. “Today” follows the timezone under Settings → General.

Still under Dirigible Open Hours, open Settings:

Footer Display — a list in the theme footer (Every Day or Open Days)
Nav Display — a short line at the end of the header menu (Hours Today or Next Opening)
Utility Nav Display — the same short line in the utility bar, plus Inline Hours

All three default to None. You can turn on more than one.

Utility Nav Display only appears if Utility Nav → Enable is on under Appearance → Customize → Header & Menus.

Every Day — all seven days, starting on Week Starts On. Closed days read “Closed Monday”.
Open Days — only the days you filled in, in the same order.
Hours Today — “Open Today:” and today’s times. If you are closed, the utility bar (and footer, if you used this layout there) reads “Closed Today”. The header menu shows nothing on a closed day.
Next Opening — today’s hours when you are open. If you are closed, it looks ahead for the next open day (“Open Tomorrow” or “Open Thursday”).
Inline Hours — abbreviated days in one line (Mon: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm | Tue: …). Closed days are skipped.

The footer list heading is Hours Headline (default Hours). It uses the Headline Style from Appearance → Customize → Footer & Contact.

Footer hours only print on the theme footer. A freeform footer from Dirigible Footer does not include this list.
Days you fill in are also added to the site’s LocalBusiness structured data for search engines.
Week Starts On only changes the order of list layouts. It does not change which day is “today”.
