Products
Overview
Find these under Products → Settings. They set the web addresses of product and category pages and how category pages lay out their products. They do not change the Products block.
These settings used to be under Appearance → Customize → Dirigible Plugins → Products. They moved with the same values, so there's nothing to set again, and old links to the Customizer open the new page. On a site whose Dirigible theme hasn't updated yet, they're still in the Customizer.
Settings
Addresses
- Slug: the part of each product's address after your domain (default
products, as in/products/product-name/). Product addresses switch to the new slug when you save. - Category Slug: the same for category pages (default
categories, as in/categories/category-name/) - With Front: start product and category addresses with your permalink prefix, such as
/blog/, if your permalink structure has one (default on)
Pages
- Allow Archives: gives each product its own page (default on). Off, products have no page, and the Products block's links and buttons lead nowhere. While it is on, products are left out of site search
- Archive Template: how category pages list their products: Dense (seven per row), Grid (five per row), or Loose (three per row)
Select Save Settings when you're done. Pages the site has already cached can take a little while to show the change.
Tips
- Leave Allow Archives on unless products are only ever shown as cards with no page behind them.
- Archive Template only affects category pages. The Products block has its own Layout.
