Cards
Overview
These Customizer controls rename the Cards admin and set permalink slugs. They do not change the Cards block layout.
Where to find these settings
- In the WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Customize
- Open Dirigible Plugins
- Select Cards
Settings
- Slug — path for card permalinks (default
cards). Refresh permalinks after you change it. - Allow Archives — turns on each card’s own URL. Off by default. There is still no WordPress
/cards/listing — use the Cards block. When this is on, cards are left out of site search. - With Front — include the site’s front prefix (such as
/blog/) on card permalinks (default on) - Card Name / Card Name Plural — singular and plural admin labels (default Card / Cards)
- Category Name / Category Name (Plural) — taxonomy labels (default Category / Categories)
- Category Slug — URL path for card categories (default
category)
Tips
- Change labels before you train editors on the admin menu.
- Leave Allow Archives off unless you need a page per card.
- With Front applies to card permalinks, not category permalinks.
Settings
Cards
Permalink slug for card URLs (default cards). Refresh permalinks after you change it. Card pages only exist when Allow Archives is on.

Include the site’s front prefix (such as /blog/) on card permalinks. Default on. This does not apply to category permalinks.
Singular admin label (default Card).
Plural admin menu name (default Cards).
Singular taxonomy label (default Category). Change this if “Category” is the wrong word, such as Medium or Program.
Plural taxonomy and admin-column label (default Categories).
Slug used if a category URL is generated (default category). Categories are not public archives — list them with the Cards block.
