Overview

These settings rename Cards in the admin and set URL slugs. They do not change the Cards block layout.

Where to find these settings

  1. In the WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Customize
  2. Open Dirigible Plugins
  3. Select Cards

Settings

  • Slug — the URL path for card pages (default cards). Save Settings → Permalinks after you change it.
  • Allow Archives — turns on each card’s own URL. Off by default. There's still no /cards/ listing page; use the Cards block. When this is on, cards are left out of site search.
  • With Front — include your site's URL prefix (such as /blog/) in card URLs (default on)
  • Card Name / Card Name Plural — singular and plural admin labels (default Card / Cards)
  • Category Name / Category Name (Plural) — what categories are called (default Category / Categories)

Tips

  • Leave Allow Archives off unless each card needs its own page.
  • With Front only affects card URLs.

Cards

Slug

Gives each card its own URL. Off by default. There's still no /cards/ listing page; use the Cards block. When this is on, cards are left out of site search.

With Front

Card Name

Singular admin label (default Card).

Card Name Plural

Plural admin menu name (default Cards).

Category Name

What one category is called (default Category). Change it if another word fits better, such as Medium or Program.

Category Name (Plural)

What categories are called in the menu and the cards list (default Categories).
