Categories

Overview

Categories group products. Each category has its own page listing its products, and the Products block's Category boxes limit a listing to the categories you tick.

Add categories under Products → Categories, or from the Categories box while editing a product.

• Parent and child categories: yes
• Category pages: /categories/category-name/ (the Category Slug setting). The page shows the category name and its products, laid out by Archive Template
• Products list: a Categories column shows each product's categories
• Menus: categories can be added to navigation menus under Appearance → Menus

Tips

• A category with no published products has a page, but it is empty. Add it to a menu once it has products.
• Category pages always use square images, a small excerpt, and a View → link under each product. For other card styles, put a Products block on a page and tick that category instead.
