Getting started
Add a salesperson
- In the WordPress admin, go to Salespeople → Add New Salesperson
- Set the title to the rep's name. The editor opens with a starter layout: the featured image on the left, the name, a paragraph, and a Contact button on the right
- Replace the paragraph with a short introduction. Point the Contact button at an email address or contact page, or replace it with a Gravity Forms form
- In the sidebar, set the Featured Image (their photo). In the Zipcodes panel, click Edit and list every zip code they cover, separated by commas or one per line
- Publish
A rep with no Zipcodes never appears in search results.
Place the search
- Edit a page and insert the Find a Salesperson block. One page can hold only one
- Change the Title, Prompt, and Placeholder if the defaults do not suit
- Save
Visitors type a five-digit zip code (ZIP+4 works too) and click Search. Every rep whose Zipcodes include it appears below the box, each shown as their page: photo, name, introduction, and contact button or form. If none match, the block says "No salespeople found in your area."
Tips
- Keep each rep's page short. Results stack the whole page of every matching rep, so a long page makes a long list.
- Gravity Forms forms on a rep's page work inside the results, so each rep can have their own contact form.
- If two reps share a zip code, both appear. Order them with Sort by dragging in the Salespeople list (see the theme's Custom Order); otherwise results are newest first.
- The menu says Salespeople unless you renamed them in Salespeople → Settings.
