Usage

The Person block highlights one person post — ideal for featuring a dean, department head, or spotlight profile above a larger People directory.

Real-world example

On dcs.wisc.edu/directory, the Meet the Dean section at the top is a natural fit for the Person block: one selected person, headshot, name, job title, and optional link to their full profile.

Settings

  • Person — select the person post to display
  • Display Options — toggle Swap (flip image and copy), Name, Title, Link, and Categories
  • Link Style — Button or Understated (default)
  • Link Text — defaults to "Read More"
  • Custom Title — override the section heading; blank uses the person's name
  • Copy — custom intro text; blank falls back to the person's excerpt

Tips

  • Use Swap when the headshot should sit on the opposite side from your theme default.
  • Keep Copy short for hero-style placements; use the person's single page for a full biography.
