Categories

Overview

Categories are article types: Feature, Interview, Review, Letter. The menu calls them Article Types. An article's category appears as a small label above its title on issue pages, in Featured Articles, and in the sidebar table of contents.

Manage them under Publications → Article Types, or from the Categories box while editing an article.

Details

• Parent and child categories: possible, but keep them flat
• Web addresses: an article with a category lives at /issues/issue-name/category-name/article-name/. Tick at most one per article
• Category pages: none designed. Categories are labels, not listings, so leave them out of menus

Tips

• Changing an article's category changes its web address. Do it before you share the link.
