Issues
Overview
Issues group articles. Every issue has its own page at /issues/issue-name/, and the Issue Archive and Latest Issue blocks list issues by date. Manage them under Publications → Issues.
Issue Fields
Open an issue to edit it and fill in the fields under the name and description (Choose an image picks the cover from the Media Library):
- Issue Cover Image — on the issue page, on cards in the blocks, and in every article's sidebar
- Issue Title — the title shown on the issue page and featured panels. Leave it empty to use the issue's name
- Issue Volume and Issue Number — shown as "Volume 12 · Issue Number 3" (the labels come from Publications → Settings)
- Issue Date — the blocks sort issues by it, newest first, and show it in your site's date format. An issue without one is listed after the dated ones
- Issue Description — the text on the issue page and featured panel. Leave it empty to use the Description box above it
Details
- Parent and child issues: possible, but keep issues flat
- Issue page: the cover with an All Issues → button, the title, the volume, number, and date line, the description, then the issue's articles as cards
- Articles list: an Issues column shows each article's issue, and you can filter the list by issue
Tips
- Name issues the way readers refer to them ("Spring 2026", "Issue 14"). The name becomes the web address.
- Only issues with at least one published article appear in the blocks, so you can set up the next issue early.
