Locations Maps Settings

Overview

Mapping settings configure Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, and related options for location map blocks and single-location maps.

Where to find these settings

  1. In the WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Customize
  2. Open Dirigible Locations
  3. Turn on Enable Mapping, then open the Mapping sub-panel

Settings

  • Map Provider — Google Maps or OpenStreetMap
  • Map Tiles — tile style when using OpenStreetMap
  • Google Maps API Key — required for Google Maps
  • Stadia API Key — required for some OSM tile presets
  • GDPR Map Prompt — message shown before Google maps load when cookie consent is required

Tips

  • Create and restrict your Google API key in Google Cloud Console to your site domain.
  • Enable the GDPR prompt when your site blocks third-party cookies until consent.

Mapping

Enable Mapping

Enable mapping for locations. When enabled, additional map settings will appear.

Map Provider

Select the map provider to use for location maps. Choose between Google Maps and OpenStreetMap.

Choose the visual style for OpenStreetMap maps. Different tilesets offer various appearances and data overlays.

Stadia API Key

Enter your Stadia Maps API key. This is required for using certain Stadia-powered OpenStreetMap tiles.
