Locations Settings
Overview
Locations Settings control permalink slugs, admin labels, search behavior, and which contact fields appear on single location pages.
Where to find these settings
- In the WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Customize
- Open Dirigible Locations
- Adjust settings in the Settings sub-panel
Settings
- Slug — permalink segment for location URLs (default
locations); refresh permalinks after changing - Exclude From Search — hide locations from the site search page (locator blocks still work)
- Disable Single Pages — 404 location landing pages and region/type archives when you only need listings or locators
- Single Name / Plural Name / Menu Name — customize labels in the admin and on the front end
- Show in Blog — include location posts in the main blog feed
- Show Events — show related events on location pages (requires Dirigible Events)
- Show Social / Show Phone / Show Site / Show Email / Show Address
- Show Region / Show Location Type — display taxonomy terms on single location pages
Tips
- Turn on Show Region when region labels help visitors orient listings like the Steve Brown parking page.
- Use Disable Single Pages for locator-only sites where cards link elsewhere or no per-location detail is needed.

Settings
Permalink slug for location URLs (default locations).
Hide locations from the site search page. Does not affect admin search or the locator / where-to-buy block.
404 location landing pages and region/type archives. Locator / where-to-buy still works. You may need to refresh permalinks.
Set the singular name for locations. This name is used in various places like titles and descriptions.
Set the plural name for locations. This name is used for lists and archive pages.
Toggle whether locations should appear in your main blog feed. Enable this if you want location posts to be part of your blog content.
Show related events on location pages (requires Events plugin).
Show social links on single location pages.
Show phone on single location pages.
Show website on single location pages.
Show email on single location pages.
Show address on single location pages.
Show Regions taxonomy on single location pages.
Show Types taxonomy on single location pages.
