People Tags

Overview

People Tags is a flat taxonomy attached to the People post type. Use tags for cross-cutting labels that do not fit a hierarchical category structure.

Properties

• Hierarchical: yes (registered hierarchical, but used like tags in practice)
• REST API: enabled

Tips

• Prefer People Categories for department-based directories with filter pills.
• Use tags for informal groupings (e.g. "emeriti", "board", "speaker") when you do not need hierarchical filtering.
