Overview

Works are your individual portfolio projects, found under the Portfolio menu in the admin (you can rename it). Each work has a featured image, an excerpt, a case study you build in the editor, and an optional title and subtitle in the sidebar.

Add works under Portfolio → Add Work. New works start with a background section, featured image, and title already in place.

Content that listings use

  • Title — the work's title, unless you fill in the sidebar Title to use a different name on cards
  • Subtitle — optional line under the name in Collection layouts
  • Featured image — used by every collection block. Logo and packery layouts skip works without one.
  • Excerpt — short summary on cards, sliders, and collection pages
  • Collections — groups that blocks and collection pages can show
  • Filters — labels for the Collection block's filter buttons

Editor basics

  • Fields: title, case study content, featured image, excerpt, comments, revisions, and author
  • No archive page: put a Collection block on a page instead
  • URL slug: Customizer Slug (default work)
  • Organizing: Collections (each gets a public page) and Filters (for filter buttons only)
  • Parent work: a work can sit under another work, like a child page

Sidebar fields

  • Title — optional name for listings; leave blank to use the work's title
  • Subtitle — optional second line on Collection cards, lists, and overlays

Older sites had separate Image and Excerpt sidebar fields. Those are now hidden; use the featured image and excerpt instead.

Tips

  • Turn on Prev/Next Navigation under Appearance → Customize → Dirigible Portfolio → Single Page to link neighboring works at the bottom of each case study.
