Setup

Overview

Setup controls how Portfolio appears in the admin and in URLs: the menu name, singular and plural labels, permalink slugs, and which page the optional return link should open.

Where to find these settings

  1. In the WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Customize
  2. Open Dirigible Portfolio
  3. Select the Setup sub-panel

Settings

  • Slug — permalink segment for work URLs (default work); refresh permalinks after changing
  • Single Name / Single Plural — labels such as Work / Works
  • Portfolio Name — admin menu name (default Portfolio)
  • Collection Slug — permalink segment for collection archives (default work-collections); refresh permalinks after changing
  • Portfolio Page — the page used by the single-page Return link

Tips

  • After changing either slug, visit Settings → Permalinks and save so existing URLs resolve.
  • Set Portfolio Page before you turn on Include Return Link under Single Page.

Single Name

Singular label for one portfolio item (default Work).

Single Plural

Plural label for lists and admin screens (default Works).

Portfolio Name

Admin menu name (default Portfolio).

Collection Slug

Permalink slug for collection archive URLs (default work-collections). Refresh permalinks after changing.

Portfolio Page

Page the single-page Return link opens. Set this before you turn on Include Return Link.
