Track List

Usage

The Track List block lists a release's songs, numbered, with each song's length and the total running time. A song with its own page (lyrics, credits or a story) links to it.

When Show lyrics in release track lists is on under Music → Settings (the default), each song with lyrics has a "Lyrics" label and opens in place to show them, with a link to its song page.

On a release

New releases start with this block, so you build the track list right on the page:

• Add a song: type a title, then pick a song you already have (a single that's also on the album, drafts too) or create a new one.
• Paste a track list: one song per line. Track numbers are dropped, and a time at the end (3:42) becomes the song's length. Songs you already have (same title) are reused; the rest are created.
• Reorder: drag a song by its number, or use Move up and Move down in the ⋮ menu at the end of its row.
• Rename a song or set its length: click its title or time and type.
• Lyrics: open a song with the arrow at the end of its row to edit its lyrics, Show lyrics and Lyrics credit in place.
• Open song (in the ⋮ menu) opens the song in a new tab.
• Remove from this release (in the ⋮ menu) takes a song off this release only; the song stays.

Changes to a song save to the song straight away, on every release it's on, and its row shows "Saved". The order, and which songs are on the release, save when you update the release. New songs stay drafts until the release is published.

If you remove this block from a release, the sidebar's Tracks panel comes back to manage the songs there.

Settings

• Release: This release (default) for the release page it's on, or pick a release. On another page, such as a news post about a new album, pick the release: the block shows its track list as visitors see it, with an Edit this release button.

Tips

• Only published songs are listed on a published release. Songs added to it publish when the release does.
