Overview

Everything under Music → Releases lives here. Each release (an album, EP, single, live album or compilation) has its own page at /music/release-name/ and a link page at /listen/release-name/. You edit a release right on its page, as visitors see it, and the sidebar keeps the rest. For a step-by-step setup, start under Usage → Getting started, and see Usage → Releases for every part in detail.

What visitors see

The release page shows the cover, the type and year, the title, your artist name, then the listen buttons, buy buttons and the player, laid out the way Release page layout under Music → Settings says (the cover on the left, on the right, on top, or blurred behind). Under them come the track list, the story and anything else you add to the page, then the video, the credits and the label. It ends with four more of your releases and a link to the Music page. Before the release date, "Out" with the date and the Pre-save button stand in for the listen buttons and player, and switch over by themselves on the day.

On the page

A new release starts with these blocks:

  • Release: click the cover, the type and date, the title, the listen and buy buttons, the pre-save link or the player to change them.
  • Track List: Add a song, Paste a track list, drag to reorder, click a title or length to change it, and open a song's row for its lyrics. Song changes save straight away; the order saves with the release.
  • A paragraph for the story.

Settings

Release: one line each for Link page, Player & video, Credits and More details (label, catalogue number and UPC), with what's set now. Select Edit to change one.

Fill in from a link: paste the release's Apple Music, Bandcamp or Spotify links (up to five) and select Look it up to fill in the details, cover art, tracks and links. Nothing changes until you select Use this.

The Cover art panel holds the cover, the same image as the cover on the page.

Older releases

A release made before on-page editing, or imported, has no Release block and keeps the automatic layout. Its sidebar has the Page layout panel, with Switch to editing on the page, and a panel for each setting:

Release details: the Type and Release date, and under More details the Label, Catalogue number and UPC.

Tracks: the songs in order. Add songs you already have, create new ones, or Paste a track list. Drag them, or use the arrows, to reorder.

Listen links: a link to the release on each streaming service, in the order they show.

Buy links: where to buy it, each with a Format, Price and Note.

Pre-save: a Pre-save link shown until the release date.

Player & video: which service's Player shows (Automatic picks one from the listen links), and a YouTube Video.

Credits: one per line, like Produced by: Jane Doe.

Link page: the link page's address to copy, and Send visitors somewhere else instead for one campaign.
