Gating

Overview

Gating is the lead form in front of public downloads. It does not apply to docs set to Selected users.

Where to find these settings

Go to Documentation → Settings and find Gating.

These settings used to be under Appearance → Customize → Dirigible Documentation. They moved with the same values, so there's nothing to set again, and old links to the Customizer open the new page. On a site whose Dirigible theme hasn't updated yet, they're still in the Customizer.

Settings

• Enable Gating: turn the lead form on (default off). The settings below appear once it's on.
• Gravity Form ID: the form to show. Save it together with Enable Gating; with 0, public docs stay locked with no form
• Headline: heading on the overlay
• Subheadline: line under the headline
• Body (HTML Allowed): optional extra copy
• Enable Gate Bypass: let visitors dismiss the form without submitting (default off)
• Bypass Text: dismiss button label (default No thanks). It appears once bypass is on

Select Save Settings at the bottom of the page. You need an Administrator or Manager account.

Tips

• Create the Gravity Form first, then enter its ID. Forms → Forms lists each form's ID.
• If the form changes, reset everyone from Dirigible → Tools → Reset Documentation Gating.
