Add or edit locations

Here are the steps to add and edit locations using the Dirigible Locations plugin:

1. Access the backend of your website and navigate to the “Locations” section.
2. To add a new location, click on “Add New.” If you need to edit an existing location, locate the desired location and click on its title.
3. On the right-hand side, you may see a section related to the Dirigible Locations Extended plugin. If you don’t have this plugin, you can still make use of the map embed feature.
4. To obtain the map embed code, go to the Google Maps website (maps.google.com). Search for the desired location, and once you have the address displayed, click on the “Share” button.
5. In the sharing options, select the “Embed a map” tab. Copy the provided iframe embed code.
6. Go back to the location editing page in your website’s backend and paste the embed code in the appropriate field.
7. You can also add additional information about the location, such as the address, phone number, and description. Enter this information in the respective fields.
8. If you want to include an image, upload the image to your website’s media library. Then, add the image to the location by clicking on the “Add Media” button and selecting the image.
9. Once you have added all the desired content and made the necessary edits, click the “Publish” or “Update” button to save the changes to the location.
10. You can now view the location on the front end of your website. The location will display the embedded map, address, phone number, description, and any additional information you included.

Additionally, you can create a separate page to display multiple locations using the Locations block. This allows you to showcase multiple location snippets or blurbs in one place.

Remember to retrieve the embed code from Google Maps for each location you want to add or update.
