Manifest
Usage
Our Manifest plugin is an organization and format tool to help display content. The best place to see this plugin in action is right here! On our support site! Each of the Documentation and Block pages providing you with details on blocks and editing are Documents in Dirigible’s Manifest Plugin.
Manifest automatically changes the layout to be 2/3 width, includes a sidebar, and breadcrumbs can be found at the top.
This makes navigation easier for you and your visitors as a sidebar menu is auto-generated. In this case we use Manifest to display and organize our support and “blockumentation” pages to help our viewers, but our Manifest plugin can be used in whatever way best fits the needs of your site.
Our Manifest Plugin grants you access to Documents and Snippets. It is best to think about documents as pages (what you are looking at now) and snippets are repeatable documentation bits that can be shared throughout your documents. With snippets, you are able to make edits or changes to the source and all iterations of that snippet on your documents will change. Snippets additionally make it easier to update and fix when WordPress updates come through, likely changing the look and functionality of your website.
In the case of this support site, our snippets are block settings that are found in many different block types. For example, one of our most repeated snippet is Block Width and can be seen reiterated in our Section Document and Columns Document. Same goes for our Reverse Print Snippet—found in both our Photo Feature Document as well as our Section Document.
