Overview

Answers are the knowledge-base articles. The admin menu is Answers, separate from Manifest. Create them under Answers → Add New Answer.

The editor is limited to Image, Paragraph, Heading, Gallery, Video, List, Embed, and Buttons. Assign Categories so listings and answer sidebars can group them.

WordPress features

  • Supports: title, editor, excerpt, revisions
  • Archive: none — use a Knowledgebase block on a page
  • Public URL: yes — /knowledgebase/{name}/
  • Excerpt: shown on Knowledgebase cards and in Knowledge Base FAQ rows set to show the excerpt. Without one, a short summary of the answer text is used
  • Featured image / page attributes: not used
  • Allowed blocks: Image, Paragraph, Heading, Gallery, Video, List, Embed, Buttons

Each answer page shows a sidebar of other answers in the same categories, plus a back link when Knowledgebase Page is set.

Tips

  • Write the question as the title. Keep the body to the answer.
  • Add an excerpt (the Answer tab in the sidebar, Add an excerpt…) when the first lines of the answer don't sum it up.
  • Always assign a category so related answers appear in the sidebar.
  • You cannot add a Knowledgebase block inside an answer. Put it on a normal page.
