Snippets

Snippets are reusable pieces of content. Write them once under Manifest, then drop them onto pages.

Create a snippet

  1. Go to Manifest → Snippets → Add New Snippet
  2. Add a title (and an excerpt if listings should show a summary)
  3. Write inside the locked Snippet Page block
  4. Optional: set a Featured Image or Featured Video (MP4) in the sidebar
  5. Publish

The snippet’s own page shows the title, excerpt, and media, then your blocks.

Snippets can have a parent in Page Attributes, but the site does not add document-style sidebar, trail, or previous/next navigation for that tree. Nesting is for your own organization only.

Place it on a page

  1. Edit a page
  2. Insert Snippet to show one snippet, or Snippet Collection to show several
  3. Pick the snippet (or add rows in a collection)
  4. Publish the page

Use Snippet when one piece of content should sit in the page flow. Use Snippet Collection when visitors should pick among several snippets.

Tips

  • Treat the snippet editor as the source of truth. Pages that embed it stay in sync when you update the snippet.
  • Custom title, excerpt, or image on the Snippet block override that snippet for that placement only.
  • Snippets are public at /snippets/{name}/. Link there only if you want a standalone page; most sites only embed them.
