Getting started
Dirigible Manifest adds three content types. Pick the one that matches the job, then open the matching admin menu.
Which type to use
| Type | Use it when | Admin |

| Documents | You need a nested handbook, policy set, or help section with a sidebar | Manifest → Documents |
| Snippets | You want to write a piece of content once and place it on pages | Manifest → Snippets |
| Answers | You want a searchable FAQ or knowledge base | Answers (its own top-level menu) |
Categories group answers. Create them under Answers → Categories.
Find it in the admin
- Documents and Snippets are under Manifest (folder icon).
- Answers is a separate top-level menu (help icon), not nested under Manifest.
- Categories appear with Answers.
Show it on the site
- Documents have their own URLs. Nest them with Page Attributes → Parent.
- Snippets are meant to be placed with the Snippet or Snippet Collection block. Each snippet also has its own URL.
- Answers appear when you put a Knowledgebase block on a page. Category archives also list answers.

Tips
- Start with one top-level document, then add children. The sidebar and trail follow that tree.
- Keep answers short. Put reusable how-tos in snippets instead.
- After you change the document Slug in the Customizer, go to Settings → Permalinks and save to refresh permalinks.
