  1. Large Quote

Large Quote

Large quote block.

Usage

The Large Quote has all the same fields and markup as the Small Quote block, but with a Text Size option. We’ve adjusted the styling to make this block more prominent on the page, and have moved the quote marks from the sides of the quote text to a single quote on top.

The citation Name is displayed with an <h4> tag. The Title is displayed with the <small> tag.

Text Size

You can select from the following text size options from the block editor sidebar.

Large Quote with text size small.

Small

The small text size is the same size as the Small Quote block, which is the same size as your paragraphs. You can change this in the customizer.

Large Quote with text size medium.

Medium

Medium is the default setting. This sets font size to 2.6vw, which grows proportionally with window width.

A Tip for Quotes

Quotes a great way to spice up your page layout, and it’s a great place to break from your content. Try putting a Large Quote on a Background—because the text is large you can play with layout a lot more while maintaining legibility. Remember, you can set the padding on the background to ‘none’.
