Review and edit AI alt text

AI alt text is a first draft. There's no approval step: you edit a draft before you save it, or fix it later in the media library.

Edit a draft before you save

  1. Go to Dirigible → AI Alt Text.
  2. Click Generate Alt Text on an image.
  3. Edit the text on the card.
  4. Click Save Alt Text.

Generate All Alt Text saves right away. To change those descriptions, edit them in the media library.

Edit alt text in the media library

  1. Go to Media → Library and open the image.
  2. Change Alternative Text. It saves as you type.

Watch for drafts that are too general, like "person outdoors" on a photo of a specific event or product.

What to aim for

Short and specific, and never starting with "image of." Leave it empty only for decorative images. Examples: Writing alt text for images.
