Add locations and show them on a page

Dirigible Locations stores places and displays them with listing and map blocks. Requires the Dirigible Locations plugin. Interactive maps need mapping enabled in the Customizer.

Create a location

  1. Go to Locations → Add New.
  2. Enter the location name and optional featured image.
  3. Fill Location Information (map pin or embed under Google Map / Map).
  4. Fill Contact Information — Website, Street Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, Email Address.
  5. Add Social Media links when useful.
  6. Assign Regions and Types for filtering.
  7. Click Publish.

Enable mapping (for map and search blocks)

  1. Go to Appearance → Customize → Dirigible Locations → Mapping.
  2. Turn on Enable Mapping.
  3. Choose Map Provider and Map Tiles, then add Stadia API Key and/or Google Maps API Key as required by your provider.
  4. Optionally configure GDPR Map Prompt.
  5. Publish.

Show locations on a page

  1. Edit the page.
  2. Insert Locations for a grid or card list, Location Map for a map with cards, Location Search for zip/radius search, and/or Single Location for one featured place.
  3. For Locations, set Layout (Grid, Cards, Features), What to Display (Show All Locations, By Region, By Type, or Handpicked), and Filtering.
  4. For Location Map, use the Data and Appearance tabs for the same display filters plus card style and image options.
  5. Publish the page.

Tips

  • Keep address fields complete so map pins and cards stay accurate.
  • Prefer one listing style per page — a dense Location Map plus a full Locations grid can feel redundant.
  • Pair location pages with Edit SEO for a page when each site needs its own search snippet.
