Use the Landing Page template
To make a landing page with no header, menu, or footer, edit the page and set its Template to Landing Page. The template turns a WordPress page into a campaign page: no site header, no menu, no footer. Use it for a paid-ad destination, an event signup, or a page that should stay on one message.
This is a page template, not a starting template. Starting templates copy blocks onto new pages. Landing Page only changes the chrome around the page.
How do I hide the header and footer on a page?
- Edit the page.
- In the sidebar, open the Page tab.
- Under Template, choose Landing Page.
- Click Save.
- View the page logged out, or in a private window, to confirm the header and footer are gone.
Switch Template back to Default template if you want the header and footer again.
What visitors see
Hidden:
- The header, including the logo, Main Menu, utility nav, header button, and mega menu
- The footer, contact bar, and Dirigible attribution
Still there:
- Everything you put in the page content
- Tracking codes and Custom Embeds
- The site pop-up, unless you've limited it to a different page
- The cookie banner, if it's on
Put a logo that links to the homepage (or a Button) at the top of the page so people can leave. Nothing else will.
The page still needs a visible H1. See Add a page title (H1) to every page.
How do I keep the pop-up off a landing page?
The pop-up is not tied to the header. If Enable is on and Limit to Page is off, it appears here too, which is often the wrong move on a campaign page.
To keep it off this page only, turn on Limit to Page and set Page to a different page, such as the homepage. To show a pop-up only on the landing page, limit it to that page.
When not to use it
- Interior pages that need the menu. Use the default template.
- A page that's only meant to hide the title. The default template doesn't print a page title until you add one; you don't need Landing Page for that.
- Link in Bio pages. Those already hide the header and footer on their own.
