Sell tickets for an event

Event ticketing uses WooCommerce behind the scenes. Turn the sitewide flag on first, then configure each event. Create the event itself with Create events and add a listing.

Requires Dirigible Events, WooCommerce, and Enable Ticketing.

Enable ticketing sitewide

  1. Go to Appearance → Customize → Dirigible Events → Ticketing.
  2. Turn on Enable Ticketing.
  3. Click Publish.

Sell tickets on an event

  1. Edit the event.
  2. Open the Ticketing document panel.
  3. Turn on Sell tickets for this event.
  4. Set Ticket price when you are not using ticket types, plus Button text.
  5. Set Capacity (or total / venue capacity when using types).
  6. Optionally turn on Show stock.
  7. Update the event — Dirigible creates or updates the linked hidden product.

Ticket types (optional)

  1. Under Ticket types, click Add ticket type.
  2. For each type set Name, Price, and whether to Manage stock.
  3. Choose Stock mode: Count toward total — no type limit, Count toward total — with type limit, or Separate stock.
  4. Set Amount when the mode needs a type limit or separate stock.
  5. Remove unused types with Remove type.

Attendees, orders, and scanning

In the same Ticketing panel (after sales exist), use the links for:

  • Tickets sold / checked in stats
  • Open scanning page (door kiosk)
  • View orders
  • View attendees
  • Linked Product

Classic editors may also show a Ticket Attendees meta box with attendee and kiosk links.

Tips

  • Turning sell tickets off pauses the product but keeps order history — it does not delete past sales.
  • Test a full purchase and scan on staging before a live door night.
