Create cards and place the Cards block

Dirigible Cards stores short card posts and displays them with the Cards block. Requires the Dirigible Cards plugin. Listings sort A–Z by title.

Create a card

1. Go to Cards → Add New Card.
2. Enter a title. Optionally set Display Title if the listing name should differ.
3. Add an Image, Description, optional editor content, and a Link.
4. Assign Categories when you will filter on the page.
5. Publish.

Place the Cards block

1. Edit the page and insert Cards.
2. Choose Layout — Grid, Directory, Stratified, or Cards.
3. Set Columns.
4. Optionally Restrict Cards, use Filter / Filters to Display, and turn on Search.
5. Control visibility with Images, Image Links, Titles, Excerpts, Content (Description or Content), Links, and Link Text.
6. Publish.

Titles “hidden” still show a title style

On Titles, the <hidden> option does not remove the name. An empty titles setting falls back to the H3 look, so titles still appear. To hide other pieces, use <hidden> on Excerpts, Images, or Links — those do hide.

Optional per-card URLs

Card singles are off by default. Under Appearance → Customize → Dirigible Plugins → Cards, turn on Allow Archives only if you want publicly queryable card URLs. Most sites only need the block listing.

Tips

• Prefer clear category names before enabling filters on the block.
• Keep card images the same aspect ratio for tidy grids — see Formatting images.
• For staff-style directories, Build a people / staff directory may fit better than Cards.
