The Site & forms tools help when form notification emails aren't arriving, and clean up old Gravity Forms spam. They're in Dirigible → Tools & Maintenance. Send test email is always there; the Forms card appears only when Gravity Forms is active. See Using Tools & Maintenance.

Is my site sending email? (Send test email)

Sends one real email and shows how your site sends mail: through the server or an email service (SMTP), and the From address. If sending fails, it shows the error, such as an email service login that no longer works.

  1. Enter the address to send to. It starts as your own.
  2. Click Send test email.
  3. Check the inbox, and the spam folder. "Sent" means the mail server accepted the message, not that it arrived.

Use it after changing email settings or your domain's DNS, and before requiring two-step login, since login codes arrive by email.

Forms

The Forms card has two tabs.

Settings check

Checks each Gravity Form for notification and confirmation problems, such as a notification sent to a field that no longer exists, or a form with no confirmation message. It changes nothing. Gray means nothing to flag, amber is advice, and red is likely broken. Fix any problems in Gravity Forms.

Entry cleanup

Permanently deletes spam and trashed entries, expired "save and continue later" drafts and, if you choose, old entries. Starred entries are never deleted. Only Administrators see this tab.

  1. Click Scan. It counts entries per form and changes nothing.
  2. Choose what to remove and check the counts.
  3. Click Delete selected and confirm. This can't be undone.

For ongoing housekeeping, set a retention period on each form in Gravity Forms instead. Afterward, submit a test entry on your most important form to make sure its notifications still arrive.

No longer here

  • Email deliverability check: replaced by Send test email. To check your domain's SPF and DMARC records, ask whoever manages your domain or email.
  • GF config audit is now Forms → Settings check, and GF entries & uploads bloat and Forms cleanup are now Forms → Entry cleanup.
