Photo Block Slider
Rotate photos beside a headline and text that stay put.
Usage
Photo Block Slider pairs one panel of text with photos that rotate on their own. The photos cycle on one half while your headline, text and link stay put on the other.
Click Choose Photos in the block, or Photos in the block toolbar, to pick images from the Media Library. Open it again to add, remove or reorder them. Then type the headline, subheadline and text right in the block. Leave a blank line between paragraphs.
To add a link under the text, enter it under Link in the sidebar. Link Text sets its wording; left empty, it reads "Learn More".
When to use it
Use it when one message fits several photos: a company story, a property, a service with a few good shots.
The block is split down the middle, photos on one side and text on the other. On phones the photos sit above the text. Swap in the toolbar (or Swap Blocks in the sidebar) switches sides on desktop.
The photos always rotate; there's no setting to turn that off. They pause while the cursor is over them and stay still for visitors who've turned on reduced motion on their device. Visitors can stop them with a small pause button at the bottom right, which appears on hover or keyboard focus (on phones and tablets it's always shown). Visitors can also swipe between photos.
Until you choose photos, the live page shows only the text panel, across the full width of the block. The Add Some Photos prompt is only in the editor.
Photo Block Slider supports Wide and Full width and starts at Full.
Tips
- Write text that fits every photo, since the panel doesn't change as the photos rotate.
- Photos are cropped to fill their half, so keep the subject near the middle.
- Each photo's description for screen readers comes from its Alt Text in the Media Library.
- On a dark Background, set Text Color to Light.
- For different text on each slide, use Storyboard Slider. For a single photo with text, use Photo Feature.
