Post Pages
Usage
Open Appearance → Customize → Blog & Posts → Post Pages to shape the article template. Set Sidebar default, Title style, and body Text Size, then choose which meta rows appear — date, author, categories, and tags.
Enable Post Styles for background, border, and font options that apply only on single posts. Sharing adds share links with optional custom Sharing Text.
When to use it
- After your first few posts are live, when the default article width or meta stack feels off.
- Long-form content that needs a wider column or no sidebar on desktop.
- Sites that want previous/next navigation and a return link back to the blog index.
Tips
- Meta Position and Meta Width control the byline band above or beside the title — preview with a real featured image.
- Show Adjacent Posts helps readers continue reading; set Return Link label to match your voice (“Back to blog”, “All posts”).
- Per-post sidebar overrides in the editor win over the Customizer default.
- Turn Sharing off on intranet or membership sites where public share buttons are not needed.
