Footer and Contact

The footer appears on every page. Use it for your address and contact details, a footer logo, social icons, and a footer menu so visitors always know how to reach you.

Open Footer & Contact

  1. Go to Appearance → Customize.
  2. Open Footer & Contact.
  3. Work through Contact Information, Logo, Appearance, and Accent Border.
  4. Click Publish when the preview looks right.

Add contact information

In Contact Information:

  1. Enter your Address, Address (Line 2), City, State, and Zipcode.
  2. Add a Phone number and Email.
  3. Set the Copyright line shown at the bottom of the footer.

Leave any field blank to hide it. Longer contact details belong on a Contact page built with blocks.

The address, phone, and email are also used in the business details Dirigible gives search engines. See Structured Data for Search Engines.

Social icons

Social icons in the footer come from Settings → Social Media:

  1. Open Social Media in the Customizer.
  2. Enter your handle for each network you use.
  3. Leave the rest blank.

The Socials block uses the same list.

Footer logo

In Logo:

  1. Upload a Footer Logo, such as a stacked or simplified version of your header logo.
  2. Set Logo Width so it balances with the text and menu.

Leave it empty if you don't want a logo in the footer.

Footer appearance

Appearance controls the footer Layout, Background, Reverse Print (light text for dark backgrounds), heading and text size, and which areas show: address, navigation, newsletter sign-up, and search. Match the background to your Palette so the footer feels like part of the site.

Footer menu

  1. Go to Appearance → Menus.
  2. Create or edit a footer menu (Privacy, Terms, Careers, and similar).
  3. Assign it to the Footer Menu location.
  4. Make sure Show Navigation is on under Appearance, then check the Customizer preview.

Accent border

Accent Border adds a colored stripe above the footer, below it, or both. It's useful when the footer background matches the page and you want a visible break.

Freeform footer (plugin)

With Dirigible Footer active, you can replace the theme footer with one you build in the block editor:

  1. Create a Footer post with your layout.
  2. Turn it on in the Customizer under the Dirigible Footer settings.

Use this when you need a layout the built-in footer options can't produce. When the plugin is off, the theme footer settings above apply.

Contact forms

Form styling is under Styles → Forms. Site-wide Gravity Forms options are under Settings → Gravity Forms.

Put your contact form on a Contact page with the Gravity Forms block rather than pasting a form shortcode into the footer.
