Footer and Contact

The footer repeats on every page. Use it for contact details, a secondary logo, social links, and a footer menu β€” so visitors always know how to reach you.

Open Footer & Contact

  1. Go to Appearance β†’ Customize.
  2. Open the Footer & Contact section.
  3. Work through Contact Information, Logo, Appearance, and Accent Border.
  4. Click Publish when the preview looks right.

Add contact information

In Contact Information:

  1. Enter your Business name and Tagline if they should appear in the footer.
  2. Add Address, Phone, and Email β€” these often power contact blocks and structured data.
  3. Fill Hours or short service notes when helpful.

Keep formatting simple (one line per field). Long paragraphs belong on a Contact page built with blocks.

Structured data for search engines may use these fields β€” see Structured Data for Search Engines.

Social profiles

Social icons in the footer pull from Site Settings β†’ Social Media:

  1. Open Social Media in the Customizer.
  2. Add handles or URLs for each network you use.
  3. Leave blank any networks you do not want to promote.

Social blocks on pages use the same list.

Footer logo

In Logo:

  1. Upload a footer logo when it differs from the header (stacked mark, wordmark only, or simplified version).
  2. Adjust size so it balances with contact text and menu columns.

If you only have one logo file, the header logo may be enough β€” skip this panel.

Footer appearance

Appearance controls background color, text color, and layout spacing. Match footer colors to your Palette so the transition from page content to footer feels intentional.

Footer menu

  1. Go to Appearance β†’ Menus.
  2. Create or edit a Footer menu (Privacy, Terms, Careers, and similar).
  3. Assign it to the footer menu location.
  4. Return to the Customizer preview and confirm link order and labels.

Style footer links with Navigation and Links if they need different treatment from the header.

Accent border

Accent Border adds a decorative line above the footer β€” useful when the footer background matches the page body and you want a visual break.

Freeform footer (plugin)

When Dirigible Footer is active, you can replace the default footer with a block-built footer page:

  1. Create a Footer post with your layout.
  2. Enable it under the Footer plugin Customizer settings.
  3. Use this when you need multi-column layouts beyond the default footer fields.

Default Dirigible theme footer settings still apply when the plugin is off or disabled.

Gravity Forms and contact pages

Form styling lives under Styles β†’ Forms. Site-wide Gravity Forms options are in Site Settings β†’ Gravity Forms.

Build your Contact page with a form block or Gravity Form block, not by pasting a form shortcode into the footer.
