Usage

Open Appearance → Customize → Pop-up → Settings to control whether and when the pop-up appears. Turn Enable on, pick Position and Delay, then write the message under Pop-up → Content.

Reshow After (Days) decides how long to wait before a returning visitor sees the pop-up again. At 0, visitors only see it again when you change pop-up content or publish Customizer updates that refresh the pop-up version.

When to use it

  • Newsletter signups, announcements, or promo offers that should appear once per visit or on a schedule.
  • A homepage-only offer — enable Limit to Page and select that page.
  • Blog subscribe prompts — limit to one page but turn on Always Show on Blog so posts and the blog index still get the pop-up.

Tips

  • Center adds a dimmed overlay; Corner is lighter-weight for small notices.
  • Headline and subheadline style presets change how text looks — they do not change heading levels in the page outline.
  • Visitors who already saw the current pop-up will not see it again until the reshow interval passes or you update pop-up settings. Use Tools → Reset Popup Transient to force everyone to see it again during testing.
  • Connect a Gravity Form in Content when you want signups inside the pop-up instead of a simple link.
