Utility Nav

Usage

Open Appearance → Customize → Styles → Utility Nav to set Font Size for the optional strip above the main header. This scales utility menu links, cart labels, and similar compact masthead text. Typography otherwise follows body paragraph settings; only size is controlled here.

Turn the bar on, assign the Utility Menu, and set background and link colors under Header & Menus → Utility Nav.

When to use it

• When the utility bar feels louder than the main menu — reduce Font Size before hiding the bar on mobile.
• After enabling Header & Menus → Utility Nav, to balance banner text against login and cart icons.
• Pairing with Header 6 or Header 4 presets when you want the top strip to echo small uppercase labels elsewhere.

Tips

• This screen has one control — layout, height, colors, and social icons are all under Header & Menus → Utility Nav.
• Utility links use paragraph font family and tracking; only Font Size is unique to this section.
• Avoid duplicating cart or login icons in both the utility bar and Desktop → Show Cart / Show Login — pick one location.
• Enable on Mobile under Header & Menus → Utility Nav determines whether this size applies on small screens or the bar hides entirely.
