Accent Border

Usage

Open Appearance → Customize → Footer & Contact → Accent Border to add brand color lines above or below the footer. Enable the top or bottom stripe, set Height, and pick a Color from your palette.

Accent borders help separate the footer from page content without changing the full Background under Appearance.

When to use it

• Matching a header accent stripe for bookend branding.
• Light footers on white pages that need a visible edge before the copyright row.
• Campaign micro-sites that want a color flash without repainting the whole footer.

Tips

• You can enable top, bottom, or both — disable either stripe if the layout feels busy.
• Keep height subtle (2–6px); thicker bands compete with Headline Style column titles.
• Header accent borders are configured separately under Header & Menus → Accent Border.
