Header 6

Usage

Open Appearance → Customize → Styles → Header 6 to set the smallest heading preset on your scale. Defaults use the Alternate font with uppercase Transform and bold Weight — useful for "Older Post" / "Newer Post" labels, table headings, and compact UI titles.

Applies to <h6> elements and the H6 visual style (is-style-h6).

When to use it

• Blog post navigation, archive micro-labels, and footer column titles that should not read as section headers.
• When the bottom of your hierarchy needs one more step below Header 5.
• Pairing with Styles → Utility Nav for masthead-adjacent small text — utility links use their own font-size control but can share this uppercase voice.

Tips

• Theme templates use H6 for post pagination labels — changes here are immediately visible on blog pages.
• At this size, Tracking and Transform do more work than Size for legibility.
• Links inside H6 headings lighten on hover automatically; standalone text links use Styles → Links or Inline Links instead.
• For pill-shaped filters, use Styles → Tags rather than shrinking headings further.
