Paragraphs

Usage

Open Appearance → Customize → Styles → Paragraphs to set the baseline for body text. Font defaults to your Body Font Stack from Styles → Fonts. Adjust Size and Mobile Size for desktop and phone reading comfort, Line Height for density, and Tracking for letter spacing.

Weight and Bold Weight control normal and bold <strong> text inside paragraphs. Small Size powers smaller prose treatments such as captions and the is-style-p small-paragraph preset.

When to use it

• When body copy feels too large or cramped site-wide before editing individual blocks.
• After changing Styles → Fonts → Body Font Stack, to rebalance size and line height for the new face.
• When captions, footnotes, or card descriptions need a consistent step down from main copy.

Tips

• Blocks that pick a Paragraph headline style (is-style-p) inherit these settings — useful for subheads that should read as body scale.
• Mobile Size applies below 768px; check a phone preview after changing Size alone.
• Inline links inside paragraphs use Styles → Inline Links, not paragraph color controls.
• Pair Line Height around 1.4–1.6 with most sans-serif body fonts for comfortable long-form reading.
