Usage

Open Appearance → Customize → Settings → General for defaults that apply across the whole site. Choose a custom 404 Page, set the Body Background palette color for standard pages, and pick Lightbox Theme for enlarged images.

Font options work with Dirigible Fonts: leave Font Preload on for faster first paint, and turn on Load Italic Early only if italic text flashes or arrives late.

When to use it

  • Building a branded "page not found" experience instead of the generic error layout.
  • Matching the default page backdrop to your palette before editing individual sections.
  • Turning on Parallax or Inline SVG when blocks or media need those sitewide behaviors.
  • Choosing Site Width so the header and footer align full-bleed or within your wide content column.

Tips

  • Set the 404 page to Private after you design it — the URL still works for visitors, but search engines are less likely to treat it as regular content.
  • Body Background affects page wrappers; section blocks can still set their own backgrounds on top.
  • Leave Inline SVG and Parallax off unless you need them — each loads an extra script on every page.
  • Dirigible Attribution only controls the small footer credit; it does not affect your content.

WordPress page shown when a URL is not found. Build the layout in the block editor, then set that page to Private so search engines do not index it as a normal page.

Replaces SVG images that carry the style-svg class with inline markup so CSS can target their shapes. Loads a small site-wide script — leave off unless you need it.
