Palette
Usage
Open Appearance β Customize β Styles β Palette to set your brand colors. Each swatch becomes a choice across the site β block color pickers, button styles, header backgrounds, and typography color settings all reference this palette.
Start with Primary, Secondary, and Accent for your main brand hues. Adjust Text and Muted so body copy and captions stay readable on your Canvas and page backgrounds.
When to use it
- Launching a new site or refreshing brand colors after Theme Setup.
- Fixing contrast β if links or buttons feel too faint, check Primary against Text and Canvas.
- Before tuning Styles β Buttons, Links, or Header & Menus color controls, which inherit palette choices.
Tips
- Canvas is for cards and panels; Body Background under Settings β General sets the color behind entire pages.
- Success and Failure feed form feedback β keep them distinct from your brand accents so errors and confirmations are obvious.
- Publish palette changes during a quiet moment; many blocks and global styles update at once.
